Tuesday 6/25 - 12U Baseball & 14U Softball - 1 hour before game time
Thursday 6/27 - 8U Baseball - 5 for game 1 and 5:30 for game 2
Friday 6/28 - 12U SB - 5 - 5:30
Awards Night FOR ALL PLAYERS (TBALL - 16U):
We are going to have an end of season celebration and awards ceremony on July 8 at 6pm.

Ball Photos by Emily Minton
Ball Photos will take place over the next two weeks. Coaches will be notified this week with a schedule.
Photos will be $15. This includes a digital individual and team photo. Photos will be sent to the email provided with a release to print.
If you are on a travel team and wish to have a photo with travel team it will be an additional $5.
No extra charge for sibling photo.
Forms will be available at the time of photo.

Saturday 6/1 Game & Photo Schedule
This Saturday 6/1 is another fun day at the ball field.
See the photo and game time for you team in the chart.
Photo Info:
Photos will be taken inside the concession stand at Field 1.
Each player who wants an individual photo will pay $10.
Cash is preferred method.
If you do not want an individual photo, you still need to have a photo taken for the team photo.
All photos will be digitized so if you miss the scheduled time, you will be photoshopped into the team photo.
If your player cannot make either photo day, please contact Kourtney.

If you are scheduled for Monday 6/3 and cannot make it but can make it on Saturday 6/1 then come take photos on Saturday any time. We will work you in.

Groundskeeper Bids
The Des Arc Baseball Association is taking bids to hire one or more groundskeepers to take care of the Des Arc Baseball Complex. Please submit a separate bid to do each individual concept: mowing, spraying and fertilizing. All chemicals and fertilizers will be furnished. The groundskeeper will work in conjunction with the Des Arc Baseball Association during the time of March 1, 2024 – December 31, 2024. Bids must be turned in by February 16 to one of the following locations: PO Box 1143, Des Arc, AR 72040, via email desarcbaseball@gmail.com or at the lockbox located at 108 N 3rd St, Des Arc, AR.
TRAVEL BALL TOURNAMENT TEAM
For the past few years, Des Arc has had a few travel tournament teams in baseball and softball for various age groups. We are opening this type of play up to ALL 6-year-olds and up IF there is enough interest from players and coaches.
Travel teams is an opportunity for those players that want to expand their playing time and skills.
Anyone wanting to play on a travel team MUST play inner-city league as well.
These teams would start practice and play sooner than city league. Games typically start during the month of April and end in late June. City league games are scheduled around travel games. The games are played in Des Arc and surrounding towns typically withing a 30-mile radius.
If more than 12 players sign up per team, there will be a tryout held by the coaches and league commissioner if needed.
Deadline to register is February 8.
COACH MEETING
Coach Meeting on Feb 8 at 6pm at Gospel Mission Church Family Life Building. If you are head coaching or even assistant coaching ANY team, we ask you to be at this meeting. We will be setting the 2024 rules for the season for each league at this meeting. We will also plan camps and practices as well as discuss travel ball.
UMPIRE CLINIC
Umpire Training on Feb 10 at 1-5pm. If you are not a certified umpire and plan to umpire at Des Arc this year, you will need to complete an umpire training course in order to umpire. Des Arc is offering an umpire training course free of charge. If you have attended one in another town, we will need some type of proof if you are not certified. Please register if you are attending. 2024 Annual member meeting
Meeting has been rescheduled for MONDAY JANUARY 22 @ 6 at Gospel Mission Church Family Life Building due to the basketball games being rescheduled for the 25th.
Our Annual Ball Meeting will be held on Thursday January 25 @ 6 pm at Gospel Mission Church Family Life Building.
At this meeting:
*Election of board members (You must be at this meeting if you are interested in being on the board)
*Discuss upcoming 2024 season
*Coach needs (if you plan to coach, please let a board member know prior to this meeting. Please come if you can.)
*Umpire need
*Traveling team
*Taking of bids for maintenance person
*Take of bids for concession overseer

Baseball/Softball Registration
Fall Baseball/Softball Information:
*$40 registration fee per child or $100 max per family.
*Games will be played on Saturday afternoon/evenings only. (No weekday games)
*Baseball is based on players age as of May 1, 2024
Softball is based on players age as of January 1, 2024
Any player requesting to move up a league will need to send an email to desarcbaseball@gmail.com for permission.
*There will be no drafting for teams. Every player plays under the name Des Arc. Each player will receive 2 shirts (two different colors) Before the game, players will draw what color team they are on. Coaches will make line ups and field position based on which team the player is on.
*We will need at least 18-20 registered players in each league to be able to play that league.
*Players will be furnished a shirt only. Players can wear shorts or baseball/softball pants.
*Gate admission will be $3 per adult. There will be no season pass. The Summer Yellow Season pass will not be taken for the Fall Ball.
Coming soon - 2024
The city of Des Arc has applied and been approved for a grant for a new concession and bathrooms for the Des Arc Baseball Park. The grant is a 50/50 grant which means we need to raise 50% of the total amount of the project which is $150,000. The $150,000 can be in monetary or in-kind services donations. A replica of what our facility will look like is posted (colors will not be red)
